UnP talks about London's East End in 1888 when "Jack the Ripper" took at least five women and left them bloodied and gutted on a Rookery (slum) doorstep.

Episode 38 Background
Jack the Ripper went on a killing spree in 1888 and took the lives of several working women of the night such as Mary Jane Kelly and Martha Tabram. As one of the earliest Serial Killers, Jack the Ripper took a gruesome route and Disemboweled his victims and took corporal trophies. Jack evades regular police and Vigilance committee patrols in the Rookery and flaunted it by sending letters and human trinkets to his targets. Even with a large list of suspects and multiple murders, Jack was never caught. Even to this day, DNA evidence testing is providing no resolution.
